Combe St Nicholas – Somerset is situated in south Somerset around 2.5 miles from Chard and 12 miles from the Somerset County Town of Taunton.
We are bang on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Blackdown Hills have been protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1991. The Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership brings together over 80 organisations to protect this precious landscape.

Combe St Nicholas – Somerset and surrounding parish has a population of approximately 1400 people.
The village Church has strong links with Combe St. Nicholas CEVA Primary School, which uses the building and grounds regularly. The children especially enjoy the Sunday School Woods.
There is a village shop that includes a Post Office and also the hub of entertainment is The Green Dragon pub. The Green Dragon provide hot and cold meals daily along with great beers and ciders. They also hold live music events most weekends.
There is a football club at the north of the village,with a strong footballing history going right back to the 1900’s. It is an ever-developing club, with two main pitches and one training pitch which, after years of work, is now floodlit, a car park, four large changing rooms, male and female toilets. The clubhouse has been recently decorated, and has a large flat-screen showing premier league football. There is a kitchen and bar keeping players and supporters happy every week.
There are four men’s teams challenging in two different leagues.
