Where to start?

Step 1: Download and Install AnyDesk

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the AnyDesk website ( on your internet browser.
  • Download AnyDesk: Find the download button on the homepage and click it. The website should automatically detect your operating system (like Windows, Mac, or Linux) and suggest the correct version for you.
  • Install AnyDesk: Once the download is complete, open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install AnyDesk on your computer.

Step 2: Open AnyDesk

  • After installation, open AnyDesk. You’ll see a simple interface showing an “AnyDesk Address” which is your unique ID.

For Allowing Remote Access to Your Computer

  • Share Your AnyDesk Address: To let someone remotely access your computer, give them your AnyDesk Address. You can find this on the main screen of AnyDesk.
  • Accept the Connection: When they try to connect to your computer, you’ll see a prompt asking for your permission. You can choose to accept the connection, allowing them control over your computer. For security, ensure you trust the person you’re sharing your AnyDesk Address with.

    Step 3: Ending the Session

    • You or the remote user can end the session at any time by closing AnyDesk or clicking the “disconnect” button.

    • Security: Always ensure that you only accept connections or connect to computers of individuals you trust. AnyDesk offers various settings to control the level of access, such as allowing only view access or full control.
    • Connection Settings: You can adjust the quality and speed of the connection based on your internet speed for a smoother experience.
    • Help and Support: AnyDesk has a “Help” section within the app and online resources if you encounter any issues or have questions.
